 How to lose weight & keep it off 

Everywhere you turn nowadays -- online, newspapers, magazines, television -- you'll see articles and headlines about taking off holiday kilos.  For good reason. Current estimates show 6 out of every 10 Australians over the age of 20 is overweight, and nearly 1 out of every 4 is obese.

And many of THOSE people are going to put on ANOTHER 4-5 KILOS or so before Winter.

Many people report trying to take off kilos by dieting, but the biggest problem with that is...

It doesn't work.

All dieting does is restrict your calorie intake so you do initially lose kilos, but those kilos are both fat AND muscle. Since muscle burns calories (but fat does NOT), you don't want to lose your muscle tissue.

Also, when you restrict calories your body thinks you're unable to get food and goes into a starvation mode. As a result, your metabolism slows waaaayy down to keep you going on less food.

This means you start losing fewer or no kilos, even though you may be existing on little more than salads and water. Sound familiar?

Some current fads also have you eliminating entire food groups from your meals. Although they too result in kilos lost, your body is not getting all the nutrients it needs and eventually you will be sick and look older than your years.

And let's not forget that once you return to eating the way you used to eat, the tide rolls back in and the kilos pack back on.
